Why Kim?

Honesty and Accountability
I believe in and operate with, both personally and professionally, respectful and focused collaboration. The Lynnfield School Committee has a responsibility to the community to work collaboratively and honorably, not only in front of the cameras but also when no one is watching. I have no doubt that I would be open and responsive to parent, educator, and community feedback and concerns.

Experienced Leader and Innovative Problem Solver
I offer a unique perspective and skill set as a mother, a life-long resident of Lynnfield, an attorney with over 20 years of experience practicing estate and trust law, and a leader of several nonprofit organizations across the North Shore.  I have experience thinking outside the box when presented with facts and circumstances, including budgetary restrictions, that don’t always allow for the most obvious solutions.

Passionate Advocate

School Committee members need to first and foremost serve as strong advocates of Lynnfield Public Schools, its educators, staff and students. As a trained attorney and trust officer, I know how to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with parties who have differing opinions as well as how to serve as a strong negotiator.  I will listen, hear, and respond to community concerns with respect and consistent and uncompromising values. I will always put our children first.

Why I'm Running

My primary goal in running for the Lynnfield School Committee is to ensure that Lynnfield Public Schools continue to have a reputation that motivates families to move to our town and to ensure that we are a district that strives not just for academic excellence but also strives to inspire and educate ALL learners. Every student, from our very youngest to our very oldest, should be valued and empowered to succeed. Every student should have equal access to resources and opportunities, preparing them for their next steps in life as thoughtful, contributing members of society.  The fact that I am not only a proud lifelong Lynnfield resident and a product of the Lynnfield Public Schools but also have two (2) sons in the Lynnfield school system, as well as a niece and nephew who altogether span elementary school, middle school and high school gives me a unique opportunity, with direct insight, to accomplish these goals.  And, as a Trust and Estate Lawyer and Trust Officer, who makes a living by helping people plan and prepare for their future and their family’s future, I will be able to bring this same skill set to our school committee so that we can plan and prepare for the future of Lynnfield Public Schools and our children.

“I will listen, hear, and respond to community concerns with respect and consistent and uncompromising values.
I will always put our children first.”

Why am I running for School Committee? I believe in the Lynnfield school system. I grew up here and now I am a proud parent raising two sons here. Our public schools have what it takes to continue to be what we know they have been – inclusive, welcoming, and loving.

I will bring transparency, honest and candid communication, and trust back to Lynnfield schools. The relationships among Lynnfield's teachers, staff, parents, and school committee need to be fostered so that everyone feels seen, heard, and respected.

I'm an estate lawyer and I make my living helping people plan and prepare for their future and their family’s future. I will bring that passion, care, and attention to the school committee so that we can plan and prepare for the future of Lynnfield Public Schools and our children.
